Eric Sjerp Environmental Scientist

Eric Sjerp is an Environmental Scientist with a Bachelor of Science Degree and over 25 years’ experience in the environmental management and geological professions.

As Managing Director and Principal Consultant of Ethos NRM Pty Ltd, Environmental Assessment and Natural Resource Management Consultants, Eric is responsible for the provision of comprehensive consultancy services to private sector clients, industry, State and Local Government, and community groups. Eric often acts as project manager and principal author in key areas of expertise, including: strategic & statutory environmental planning, environmental impact assessment, conservation management planning, environmental compliance auditing, risk assessment, coastal management, soil and water management, recreation and facility planning, and preparation of funding applications.

Eric has worked throughout Australia and in Malaysia, and is currently a Non-Executive Director of Yarra Valley Water Corporation and Within Australia.

Eric is a past Executive Officer of the Gippsland Lakes Management Council and has previously served on the Boards of East Gippsland Water, Southern Rural Water, and the East Gippsland Environmental Sustainability Advisory Board. Eric has also been a member of East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority’s Land Program Committee, the East Gippsland Regional Landfill Environmental Advisory Committee, and the Advance TAFE / G-Tec Industry Advisory Committee. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Environment Institute of Australia & New Zealand, and the Victorian Planning & Environmental Law Association.
